Privacy policy
Last updated: October 4, 2026
This policy explains what ElephTv IPTV (“the app”) does with information. “We” means the developer of the app. In short: there is no account, and the app has no server of its own that receives your playlists, what you watch or what you write. Almost everything stays on your iPhone or iPad.
1. At a glance
There is no sign-up and no ElephTv account. The app contains no analytics or tracking tools of its own, and we never sell or rent information about you. What you watch, save and note is kept on your device. The only outside services involved are your IPTV provider, Google’s ad services in the free version, and Apple and RevenueCat when you subscribe to ElephTv Jumbo. Each one is described below.
2. What stays on your device
The app stores the following on your device only: your playlists (their names, server addresses, usernames, passwords and links, and a copy of any playlist file you import), favorites, collections, continue-watching points, recent channels, pinned categories, your takes (chips, notes and ratings), reminders, your settings, the TV guide cache and the kids-lock PIN, which is kept only as a salted hash and never as the digits themselves. None of this is sent to us. Favorites, takes and the other personal lists belong to the playlist they were made in and are deleted with it. iOS may include app data in your own iCloud or computer backups, under Apple’s terms.
3. Your IPTV provider
ElephTv IPTV has no channels, movies or series of its own. When you add a playlist, the app connects directly from your device to the server your provider gave you, with the address and login you entered, to load the playlist, the TV guide, catch-up and the video streams. Your provider receives what any streaming server receives, such as your IP address, your login and requests for what you play, and its own privacy policy applies. We are not your provider and have no access to your account with them.
4. The remote settings file
When it starts, the app downloads a small settings file from our server. It tells the app whether ads are on, how often they appear and which store links to use. The request contains no personal information. Like any web request, it shows your IP address to the server that delivers the file; we don’t use it to identify you or link it to anything else.
5. The TV guide
Programme information comes from your provider’s server or from a guide link you add to a playlist. The app downloads it straight to your device, keeps a cache there so the guide opens faster, and deletes that cache when you remove the playlist. Nothing about the guide, or about what you look at in it, is sent to us.
6. Reminders
When you set a reminder for a programme, the app schedules a local notification on your device. iOS creates and delivers it on the device; nothing is sent to us or to anyone else. The app asks for notification permission when you set a reminder, and you can change your answer at any time in the iOS Settings app.
7. Ads and tracking
The free version shows ads served by Google AdMob: an ad when the app opens, a full-screen ad after some taps, and ad cards in some lists. To serve and measure ads, Google may process information such as your IP address, approximate location, device type, how you interact with ads and, only if you allow tracking, your device’s advertising identifier. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and wherever the law requires it, the app first asks for your consent with Google’s consent form; you can change that choice later with Ad privacy choices in Settings. The app also shows Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you decline, ads are not tailored with your advertising identifier and the app works exactly the same. Google’s privacy policy applies to the data it processes. ElephTv Jumbo removes all ads.
8. Purchases
ElephTv Jumbo is sold through Apple’s App Store. Apple handles the payment; we never see your card details or your Apple ID. The app uses RevenueCat to know whether your subscription is active. RevenueCat receives an anonymous identifier created by the app and your App Store purchase records, and processes them under its own privacy policy. It receives nothing about your playlists, your viewing or your takes.
9. Email support
If you write to us, we receive your email address and whatever you put in your message. We use it only to answer you and never add it to a mailing list. Please don’t send playlist passwords or other logins; we never need them to help you.
10. Children and the kids lock
The app is not directed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. The kids lock lets an adult put sections, categories or single channels behind a 4-digit PIN. The PIN is stored on the device only, as a salted hash, and the lock rules belong to the playlist they were set on. What a playlist contains is decided by your provider, not by us.
11. Your choices and rights
Because your data stays on your device, you control it directly. Removing a playlist in Settings › Playlists deletes it together with its favorites, collections, continue-watching points, recent channels, pinned categories, takes, kids-lock rules, reminders and guide cache. You can delete any take, clear the watch history of the active playlist in Settings, change your ad consent with Ad privacy choices, and allow or refuse tracking and notifications in the iOS Settings app. Deleting the app removes everything it stored. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or erase personal data. We hold none about you apart from support emails; write to us and we will delete the messages you sent. For data processed by Google, Apple or RevenueCat, their own policies explain how to use these rights.
12. Changes to this policy
If the app starts handling information differently, we will update this policy in the app and change the date at the top. The new text arrives with the app update that brings the change.
